ABOUT SYMPHONY EQUINE

IMG_4992.jpeg

Pyper Snow grew up just outside of Red Deer, Alberta, where her family bred and sold Rocky Mountain Horses—a unique gaited breed originating from Kentucky. Her early experiences with these horses sparked a love for the industry that has continued to grow, leading her to explore new ways to enhance equine health and performance, including her specialization in bit fitting.

Pyper began riding at a young age, starting with casual rides around the yard before moving into formal lessons. She became an active member of Pony Club for eight years, achieving the C1 Level in her final year of high school. During her time in Pony Club her focus shifted from jumping to dressage, where she found comfort and enjoyment in keeping all four feet closer to the ground. She was drawn to the technical nature of dressage, appreciating its challenges and embracing it as a lifelong pursuit for improvement.

Although large jumps were never her preference, Pyper enjoyed the thrill of eventing at the introductory level, where she could balance fun with manageable challenges. Over the years, she has taken the time to bring along a number of horses, guiding them through events and schooling shows at a pace that suited their individual needs. Some of which were Rocky Mountain Horses, where she worked on developing the breed’s distinctive four-beat gait—a process that requires patience, balance, and an understanding of each horse’s unique movement.

In 2021, Pyper began her post-secondary journey at Lakeland College, earning a Diploma in Animal Science with a major in Beef. Upon graduating in 2023, she advanced into Lakeland’s Bachelor of Agriculture Technology program. This path allows her to earn two credentials in just four years.

Eager to stay connected to the industry she loves, Pyper expanded her knowledge by pursuing Equine Bit Fitter Certification through On the Bit Lorinery Solutions. She recognized the importance of proper bit fitting—an area often overlooked—and became passionate about sharing its value with others. Her approach emphasizes the role of anatomy in achieving comfort and performance, viewing bit fitting as equally important as saddle fitting.

Today, Pyper combines her riding background, experience with horses, and certification in bit fitting to support both horses and riders.
